Destination Rome

I started out strong with a good walking tour of Rome. I went past the Musei di Villa Torlonia and then walked further into the city for a better look at the Colosseo.

Unfortunately by this point the forecast rain caught up with me and I ended up getting drenched. Here's a few shots showing how much of a downpour their was. After this I ended up retreating to the hostel to dry off.

Overall a great start, some amazing things to see. Mostly I'm just enjoying the freedom of not having limited time to do a guided tour - it's easy to stumble across things in Rome that look interesting - and the map of Rome is full of attractions to see. I'm excited for the days ahead.
