Today was a bit of a funny one – it was mostly a life/travel admin day, but my chores took me past what turned out to be the relatively boring part of the Parco Regionale dell’Appia Antica. It was on my ChatGPT-generated list of things to do because there’s supposed to be amazing ruins.
I only saw a few ruins and a lot of Italians doing cycling, walking and working out on the impressive outdoor gym – so not a total write off by any means, but my feet were too sore to actually get to the picturesque old roads and ruins on the Appian Way. If I go back I’ll hire a bike and ride the whole thing.
In the morning I actually booked the next two mini legs of my trip, and took a short walk through some other parks around Rome.
I’m excited to reveal the next leg of the trip in due course – stay tuned!
