Salerno is said to be an excellent base to explore the Amalfi coast from. Acting on advice I got on the train from Naples and was greeted to the afternoon sun in this picturesque seaside town.
I continued my walk down through the central square and town area to the coastline.
Then I returned back through a different path to see some of the other parts of the town.
Overall some great scenery here – it’s all about the serene backdrop of the mountains and the seaside vibes, contrasted with the sense of a bustling Italian town. I’ve booked my ferry tickets for early in the morning so I’ll be back for the next update bright and early.
